§ Hôtel La Solitude is a reference in Lourdes regarding accommodation for the disabled. It has five high-speed lifts, and all parts of the hotel are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Rooms specially designed for the disabled (further information), the possibility of reserving wheelchairs from nearby Accueil Saint-Frai, beds and medical equipment from external service providers, the ease with which people can observe special diets (gluten free, salt free, blended meals…), everything is done to help everyone enjoy their pilgrimage to Lourdes, in the greatest comfort.
Finally, for groups including a large number of disabled people, a reception lounge can be put exclusively at the disposal of the group for the duration of your stay.
§ The circular restaurant located on the water's edge gives the hotel a modern feel, and reflects the original architecture of the dome shaped roof. Breakfast is served in the form of a large buffet, with among other things, fruit juice, Viennese pastries, cooked pork meats and cheese. Meals are filling and appetizing, and take into account the requirements of our International clientele.
§ Throughout the day, La Cascade brasserie, on the hotel's ground floor with its large terrace overlooking the river Gave and the fortified castle, offers coffee, pastries and ice cream as well as à la carte meals that are known for their quality. In the evening, it is also a place to relax in and meet after the torchlight processions (sporting events, piano bar evenings…).
§ Lourdes' Shrines are just a few steps from the hotel so you'll be able to go there several times a day on foot, without need of your car. Furthermore, Hôtel La Solitude is located opposite Accueil Saint Frai, which welcomes the sick taking part in Lourdes' pilgrimages. It's therefore very practical for hospitallers participating in diocesan pilgrimages.
